Employee Assistance Programs

Employees can experience personal difficulties both at work and outside of work from time to time that impact on their performance and safety at work. Talking to a counsellor at an early stage can often prevent a relatively minor concern developing into a major problem.

Employee Assistance Programs provide free counselling services to employees, and their families to assist in these difficult times. Gryphon Psychology works with organisations in the resources, construction and industry sectors to provide EAPs to their employees Australia wide.

What is an EAP?

Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) provide professional counselling for all employees, and their organisation to help resolve personal and work related problems.

The counselling services provided by the EAP are:

  • Confidential
  • Voluntary
  • Staffed by professional, registered counsellor's
  • Available for employees and family members
  • Provided by the company at no cost to employees
  • Available after hours

What type of problems can a counsellor help with?

EAP counsellors have experience with a wide range of personal and work problems including:

  • Stress at home or work
  • Relationship problems
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Problems with children
  • Conflict
  • Alcohol and drug issues
  • Workplace harassment and bullying
  • And any mental health issues impacting on work performance or safety

How do employees access an EAP?

Experienced psychologists with specialist qualifications and expertise deliver same day appointments for urgent situations and are available to provide services across a range of locations Australia wide in all capital cities and many major regional centers.
